This brings back the 1996 flick “swingers”, especially the scene when mike (john favreau) and trent ( vince vaughan) where discussing how soon to call a girl when she hands her number. It ended up mike calling the girl multiple times and leaving unreturned messages…clearly to himself. Which is a testament to my philosphy of calling a girl and getting her voicemail. Talking to a machine has always been an annoyance to me, however I grew up to accept it, especially in this fast pace day age we live in. Dimitri failed miserably here by leaving too much detail about his feelings on his first message…my approach in difference would be leaving big fat claims but with a twist at the end leaving the listener wanting more…I learned that in sales leaving buyers voice messages. Dimitri then had mentioned leaving “the ball in her court” in the first message….then why call again???? You’re contradicting yourself you puts!! The second message which was obvious a suicide bomber attempt…he possessed alot of unstable stalker attributes…tracking her work hours…setting deadlines etc….bad business! To sum up. I believe you wait approx 2-3 days when you receive the number, in between you can send a text message to test waters…when you do make the call and you get the answering machine, no longer than a 45 second message, smile while you are leaving it…if you don’t get a call back….depending on how bad you want this girl…wait 11 days and make another call…if you get a answering machine again, leave a fun slightly saracastic 20 second voice message….if no call back then…then she is not busy but she used her answering machine to filter your character.
